I have taught in Africa, London, Kent and Essex and I have 32 years experience. I have taught at Secondary and Primary levels, but I have taught up to Masters level. I have developed my expertise in primary maths, Literacy and 11+.

I have 17 years experience of teaching

year 6. In most years, the pass rate in my class was 100%. In 2017, 60% of my class gained were above the expected band and 40% were in the expected band.

KS2 Literacy

My PhD thesis was titled, 'The impact of kinaesthetic teaching methods on story writing. I used kinaesthetic methods and Mantle of the Expert as the input for story writing. I found that the attainment of the children was statistically significantly higher than the national average. The methods used allow the children to 'live' the experience so that hwne they come to write, they readily include sensations, senses and thoughts in their writing.

11+

I teach 11+ using a range of tools including past tests to assess the current level of the child and what their needs are. This assessment informs teaching which includes maths, reading, writing, spelling, general knowledge and non verbal reasoning. I encourage an interest in reading a wide range of materials and an interest in various aspects of the world in general.
